MESSAGES (I GO)

Every day thousands of messages are hitting us. Streets, screens, billboards, papers and other people cry to us out at every step. In this video performance, the artist walks through the streets of Szczecin – with the GoPro camera mounted to her head – reading out every message that “strikes” her.

Małgorzata Goliszewska (PL), ur. 1985, a Polish documentary film director, photographer and multimedia artist. Graduate of the Art Academy in Szczecin and the Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing in Warsaw. She also studied Film and Graphic Design. She works mostly with video, objects, installations and photography. She is keen on documentary filming. She has been mainly realizing personal projects, directly related to her family and private affairs. Her award-winning debut film “Dress me” was shown at many festivals in Poland and Germany. She took part in many art exhibitions, festivals and contests in Poland and abroad, among others, at Pomorze Sztuki (Szczecin—Gdańsk, 2011), 6th Youth Triennale in Orońsk (2011), 3rd Festival of Young Art Przeciąg in Szczecin and Festival of Photography Organ Vida in Zagreb, Croatia.
