AFTERBEFORE

The AfterBefore cycle is an attempt to demarcate the beginning and the end of timeless and permanently established rituals related to intimacy.

Joanna Zemanek (PL), born 1979. In 2005, she graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, since 2004, she’s become an assistant to professor Lilla Kulka in the Interdisciplinary Tapestry and Fiber workshop. Since 2009, she’s also an assistant on the Katowice School of Technology’s design department. In 2012, she finished her PhD studies in fine arts on Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków’s Painting Department. She paints, draws, weaves, creates objects, installations and video, lately also curates exhibitions.
