A VERY SAD STORY

The work inspired by Bas Jan Ader’s video, “I’m too sad to tell you” (1971), is its contemporary version. In its form, it refers to the current problems and ways of solving them. An intimate confession of the author is written in the form of an incomplete and inconsistent music video, which was published on one of the social media websites, provoking different comments and ratings on the internet. The work includes authentic comments, which appeared after the publication of the project on Facebook.

Julia Taszycka (PL), born 1992 in Poznan. She graduated in Intermedia at the University of Arts in Poznan, where in 2014 she defended her bachelor’s thesis in the Leszek Knaflewski’s Audiosphere Studio. Her first exhibition was the “Distinguishing Features” exhibition at the WRO Art Center (2014).
