BOGNA ŚWIĄTKOWSKA. ANTIPROJECT: TAKE-OVER

Abstract

There is no hacking – only shrewdness which helps achieve maximum effects seen as priority. Techniques of interception are used by all those for whom the city is an arena/environment/life space. It does not matter who is better off- those who go for technologies, or those who see it as yet another addiction. It is the temporariness of the take-over that conditions its nature, it is the time that defines it more than the different material forms by which it manifests itself. Now that we know that the individual and social life belongs more to the system than to ourselves, the take-over is a desire, a tool in the fight for space which is used both in order to re-appropriate the city for its citizens, but also so as to conquer the city by the capital. It is better to start the take-over with oneself. But how is one to take over one’s life?
